At MPT&Rehab the doctor will begin with a comprehensive examination- which will address the onset, cause, duration, severity, vectors, establish the meaningful task and functional tasks that cause the nerve pain. At this point the cause of the nerve pain will be determined; however a MRI is also very accurate and preferred in determining the stage and extent of the nerve pain- if needed will be carried out.
At MPT&Rehab we have extensive experience treating nerve pain. Based on a functional evaluation we create an individual treatment plan. Treatment options may vary depending on type and stage of the nerve pain. Treatment will be a combination of manual therapy, and physical therapy exercises. We use our expertise in manual medicine and rehabilitation to help decrease the load and pressure that is put on the nerve, allowing the nerve to decrease its inflammatory response.
